Why a Book is an Eternal Thing.

Literature is as necessary to mankind as air. First of all, it teaches to feel everything around us includingpeople and nature; it makes us consider different problemsdeeply. When reading, you start to look at things from different angles. In everyday life, it becomes clear that most notions and phenomena are versatile and often cannot be understood at a glance. However, man should develop even in reading – from plain books to more difficult unless the development stops. Most people are aware of the benefits of reading, but for some reason cannot find time and effort to read at least ten pages a day. Meanwhile, this process provides for quite tangible benefits. So, why reading is essential for self-development?

Begin with, it allows you to increase your vocabulary. It is scientifically proven that people who read, have a larger vocabulary and better verbal skills than those who do not pay enough time to reading. A man can also improve his writing and speakingskills by means of literature. It becomes easier to build sentences and express an opinion. Even writers are advised to read more in order to write better. Another advantage of books is the ability to get an access to a source of new knowledge. Literature broadens the mind and provides for new knowledge. If you want to learn how to cook, disassemble the motor vehicle or learn the history of the Civil War, the book is the best source of information.Reading makes you smarter and improves analytical thinking ability. When you analyze the tricks of the plot, your brain works harder and it improves cognitive abilities consequently. It is a well-known fact that the process of reading has a positive influence on the brain in general because it requires concentration, gives your brain a load, boosts imagination and supplies with “food” for thinking when you finish the book.
